I had been in this situation for a couple of decades. I’d studied a lot, but hadn’t firmed up my beliefs. One evening I sat at the computer with the intention of writing my feelings about God. I tried to write something, but was blocked. Hours went by with a paragraph or two written, then deleted. How could this be? 40 years in the church, and I didn’t even know who God was.
